We spent the night with Tony Basile of Crushdepth, digging into songwriting, community, and the long road from pandemic isolation to packed local rooms — the real stuff that keeps Boston music alive.
🎧 We spun 5 Crushdepth tracks, including
- all four songs from the full-band EP The Late Bloomer
- plus a standout cut from the acoustic album Commit To The Bit
We talked basement recordings in Massachusetts, tracking vocals and guitar in Stockholm with Perry Leenhouts of Travoltas, and building records piece by piece with longtime collaborator George Philips.
More than anything, it was a reminder that the scene isn’t just bands on stage — it’s the people in the crowd, the ones who keep showing up, and the songs that grow over time.
