The Hybrid Theory was on fiiiiyyyahhh as Joey B & Pxlicy had two incredibly talented artists in studio. The Nines were wild, as Quest Nine and Hip Hop IQ of the group Studio Nine Nine were in talking about their passions and creating their forms of art respectively. Quest Nine is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist and creative nurturer. Her journey into the world of art began as a transformative response to experiences with c-PTSD, stemming from several near-death encounters. It was through Art Therapy that she discovered the healing power of self-expression, allowing her to channel her emotions, stories, and struggles into vibrant expressions on canvas and
beyond. Growing up in Flint and Detroit, Michigan, she was deeply influenced by the rich arts and music culture surrounding her. The resilience she witnessed in these cities ignited her passion for art and music. Now, as a full-time muralist and creative place-maker in New England, she is committed to using her craft to inspire and uplift communities and youth. Hip Hop IQ is a cool story of a former emcee putting down the mic for family and coming back to the art that he loved. IQ started a mission to get signed to a record deal in 100 days. From no followers at the start to well over 5k in 60 days. We talked about his love for hip hop and how he started on this journey, including a track with Pxlicy and what he hopes to have happen from this experience. We also spoke about the upcoming ARTCity Lowell event on September 12th & 13th of 2025 with muralists, food and great live music and djs happening at Dutton Street Market.
