Recorded live from the Sunny Side of Central Square, we celebrated a monumental milestone for local sports. The Dracut High School Baseball team was in the studio to break down their incredible journey to capturing their first Merrimack Valley Conference title in over twenty years. We also caught up with Marina Dickey of the New England Rebellion to discuss opportunities in women’s tackle football, all paired with a phenomenal local music soundtrack.

It was an electric day in the studio as we welcomed the newly crowned champions of the Merrimack Valley Conference. After a dominant season, Dracut High School Baseball stopped by to celebrate their first MVC title in more than two decades. Head coach Steve Talbot alongside team captains Brendan Modeski, Chad Vigeant, Riley Johnson, and Ryan Cole shared the raw stories behind their climb to the top of the mountain. From the early developmental years and tough seasons to the unbreakable bond driving the team this spring, the Middies detailed what it took to build a championship culture. With the title locked up, the squad is already looking forward to their upcoming MIAA tournament bid and planning a deep postseason run.

Transitioning from the diamond to the gridiron, we were also joined by a great friend of the show, Marina Dickey. Marina brought us the latest updates on the New England Rebellion, a premier women’s tackle football team competing in the Alliance of Women’s Football League. We discussed how the organization is actively welcoming new players to the roster and explored the unique elements that make the game of football so incredibly powerful for women athletes in New England.

The soundtrack for this broadcast brings a heavy dose of nostalgia and tribute, featuring a special dedication to hip-hop icon MC Rob Base alongside a dedication to our service members with tracks from Prospect Hill.
