We had a special show with Reks & Artisin of AR16 on May 27, 2025. They joined us in studio to talk about their upcoming album release titled “Kill Writers Block”.
As core members of the renowned Massachusetts supergroup ST da Squad, AR16 represents the essence of lyrical excellence and underground grit. This 11-track EP is both a showcase of elite penmanship and a testament to the duo’s synergy — with ARTISIN handling both production and rhyming duties alongside the ever-consistent REKS.
Sonically grounded in raw authenticity, “Kill Writers Block” features hard-hitting beats crafted by Artisin, ShortFyuz and TapeGhost. The project was mixed and mastered by Jon Glass at Knowhere Studios. We played a few tracks off the album including the lead single “Super Powers” and we talked about the goals behind making this record and the upcoming performance on 6/22 at Rap Night in Manchester.
