It was an inspiring day in the studio as we took time to honor the impact of motherhood, celebrating the moms in our lives through a curated selection of words and music. Alongside this celebration, Cory McCarthy, the Chief of Students for Boston Public Schools, sat down with us to share his own story and discuss the evolving landscape of BPS Athletics and Student Support. We explored how integrated Student Support Services are working hand-in-hand to create a more holistic experience for local youth, ensuring they have the tools to maximize their opportunities both on and off the field.

In addition to our look at school athletics, we caught up with Boston hip-hop artists Laroy Streat and Nicky G. They called in to share their personal journeys and the inspiration behind their recent work. We featured Nicky G’s brand new single, “Ann Michael,” and took a moment to dive into the stories behind the music. The broadcast broke down the song’s ties to the “Queen of the North” and shed light on her unique history with Drake, detailing a special relationship and connection that reportedly dates all the way back to when they were 12 years old.
